King Saud Bin AbdulAziz University For Health Sciences
Academic programs at King Abdulaziz Medical City, an affiliate of the National Guard Ministry’s Health Affairs, were the first foundation stone of King Saud Bin AbdulAziz University for Health Sciences. Given the rapid growth of these programs and their positive impact on the provision, and rehabilitation of Saudi cadres in various disciplines including medicine, and health sciences.
The Custodian of The Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah Bin AbdulAziz gave instructions on 5 Safar 1426 Hijri (06 March 2005) to establish the University which is the first Arab university specializing in Medicine, and Health Sciences.
The University is based in Riyadh, and has a branch in Jeddah, and a branch in Al-Ahsa. On 09 Jumada Al-Awwal 1429 Hijri (13 May 2008), The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques laid the foundation stone for the University’s campuses projects in Riyadh, Jeddah, and Al-Ahsa.
The University is a state university, and operates in accordance with the rules and regulations of the Higher Education Council. However, its association with the National Guard Ministry’s Health Affairs gave it the opportunity to benefit from King AbdulAziz medical cities in Riyadh, Jeddah, and Al-Ahsa in supporting its curricula, and academic programs through training programs, and field applications in medical cities that apply the best international standards, and provide a distinct, and unique academic environment.
In this environment, students practice what they have learned under the supervision of highly qualified teaching staff members.The University offers several academic programs at the undergraduate, postgraduate and fellowship stages in many medical specialties and health sciences.
