As part of visits carried out by the Cultural Attaché to universities and educational institutions in the United Kingdom, the Cultural Attaché Dr. Amal bint Jamil Fatani visited the University of Edinburgh, the University of Glasgow and the University of Strathclyde in Scotland.
Dr. Fatani discussed with these universities ways of cooperation and got acquainted with the distinguished programs offered by these universities, where these universities listed their current initiatives and proposed future projects.
During its visit to the University of Edinburgh, the Annex held a meeting attended by Professor Neil Robertson, Dean of the College of International Science and Engineering, and Professor Derek MacLeod, Director of International Partnerships.
The visit has encompassed field tours of the buildings of these universities and colleges, such as the King’s Building and the Faculty of Chemistry at the University of Edinburgh.
Dr. Fatani met with Saudi student clubs in Edinburgh and Glasgow, and student representatives from these universities.
The Scottish universities expressed their aspiration to work closely with the Saudi Cultural Attaché in the United Kingdom to create new links and partnerships with Saudi universities.
Dr. Fatani expressed her gratitude for the warm, useful and fruitful meetings in each of the three universities and expressed her aspiration to expand the scope of these meetings to discuss matters of common interest.
